THE PROJECT.

LAKE-INSPIRED SOPHISTICATION

In the heart of Ascona, a stone's throw from the lake, we redesigned nine rooms of the Osteria Ascona, reinterpreting the atmosphere of Ticino's hospitality with a contemporary twist.

We worked on comfort, aesthetics and functionality while maintaining a respectful dialogue with the original structure. The exposed wooden beams, a distinctive element of the building, have been enhanced with black linear light fixtures that draw the space with rhythm and lightness.

The color palette stems from the colors of the lake, with shades of deep blues, pearly grays, and smoky hues incorporated into paintings, textiles, and furniture details. These cool, rarefied nuances create a refined contrast with the warmth of existing wood and opaque graphite volumes.

Warm and tactile materials-wood, natural fabrics, and soft-touch surfaces-build a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Every detail, from metal coffee tables to wall sconces, has been chosen to convey an understated elegance in keeping with the authentic character of the Osteria.

The result is a harmonious whole in which contemporary design meets the simplicity of local tradition, offering guests intimate, well-kept rooms where the breath of the lake blends with the warmth of Ticino hospitality.
